Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
The Being Co. (“we”, “us”), Bengaluru, India, operates this website, its reflective instruments (BeingOS, ThrivingOS, Career Compass and the Diagnostic) and the TBC learning platform. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how it is kept, and the rights you hold over it under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
What you give us. Your answers to an instrument and the results drawn from them; the name and email address you leave when you ask for a report; optional demographic details (life stage and age band); feedback you submit; and, on the learning platform, your account email, course progress and written reflections.
What arrives on its own. A device identifier cookie used solely to prevent abuse of our services; saved progress when you use a resume link, so an interrupted sitting can continue on another device; and aggregate, non-identifying usage analytics for the website.
We do not collect payment-card details on this site. If online payments are introduced, they will be handled by a licensed payment gateway and card data will never touch our servers.
Why we collect it
To run your sitting and prepare your report; to have the report reviewed and sent to you personally; to keep your place when a sitting is interrupted; to operate your learning-platform account; to improve the instruments using de-identified, aggregate statistics; and to keep the services safe from misuse. We process personal data on the basis of your consent, given when you submit it. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Children
Where a reader indicates they are under eighteen, we require a parent or guardian’s verifiable consent before the sitting proceeds, as the Act requires.
Where it lives and who touches it
Data is stored with vetted infrastructure processors: our database provider, our hosting provider and our email-delivery provider, each bound by their own security undertakings. Some of these providers may process data on servers located outside India. Reports are delivered to a single reviewing desk before anything reaches a reader. Access is restricted to the people who run the practice.
Cookies and local storage
We set one strictly-necessary cookie (a random device identifier, kept for up to a year) to enforce rate limits and prevent abuse. Your browser’s local storage may hold a resume token and your learning-platform state. We set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Sitting results and reports are retained for as long as the coaching relationship needs them, so past reports can be re-issued and progress compared over time. Saved-progress blobs exist only to resume an interrupted sitting. You may ask for erasure at any time (below), and we delete data that no longer serves the purpose it was collected for.
Your rights
You may ask for: a copy of your personal data; correction of anything inaccurate; erasure of your data; and withdrawal of a consent you gave earlier, which stops the processing that rested on it. You may also nominate another person to exercise these rights for you. Write to tbeingco@gmail.com and we will respond within thirty days. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Breach and grievance
If a personal-data breach occurs we will notify the Data Protection Board and affected users as the Act requires. Our grievance contact is the desk at tbeingco@gmail.com, The Being Co., Bengaluru, India.
